San Junipero Neon Sign
Inspired by the visuals of Charlie Brookers Netflix series Black Mirror. I created this real life neon signage based on the episode of the same title, ‘San Junipero’. I wanted to familiarise myself with a variety of tools and equipment, enhance my skillset and refine my 3D making skills through a project I created for myself. I wanted to merge typography and illustration with light form.
Using my campus workshop, I created a visual planning document, mapping out the placement of the neon wire and how to practically create this piece. I was then able to format the file to enable it to be read by the on campus laser cutter.
